"...Where and how I have lived is unimportant. It is what I have done with where I have been that should be of interest.”
Georgia O’Keeffe

O’Keeffe’s quote, “It is what I have done with where I have been…”  speaks to the journey my husband, David, and I have embarked upon.  For where we’ve been, and what we have endured throughout this ongoing saga —  we firmly believe that WE MUST DO SOMETHING with what we have learned.  It seems we are destined to become advocates for toxic mold awareness.  We are determined to enlighten others by telling our story to anyone and everyone who will listen.

The more we learn, the more we know; the more we wonder, the more we research — and along the way, we’ve realized just how HUGE this toxic mold issue really is. It’s truly a public health crisis, of mind-boggling scale. Unfortunately, most people don’t really understand things until they’ve experienced it first hand… Ourselves included!  We can speak from our own former (somewhat blissful) ignorance, and thus, we hope to raise awareness in order to help others.

Ultimately, this website is intended to be a simple starting point – something I wish I’d been able to find when we first realized that toxic mold was triggering our own battle with chronic illness:  A compelling story, a brief layout of the basics, and suggestions of where to dig deeper for good information.
